Introducing Life by Synheart: The First Human-State AI Companion
Synheart introduces Life, the first Human-State AI Companion — a privacy-first app that reads behavioral and physiological signals to help you understand your focus, stress, recovery, and rhythm, powered by the new Human-State Interface (HSI) standard.

Growth
For decades, we've evolved how humans communicate with computers.
We moved from command lines to graphical interfaces. From keyboards to touchscreens. From touch to voice. And now, to conversational AI.
Every generation made technology easier to use.
But every generation assumed the same thing: the human adapts to the machine.
Today, AI understands our prompts. It writes our emails. Reviews our code. Generates our designs. Answers our questions.
But despite all of that intelligence, technology still knows almost nothing about the person using it.
It doesn't know when you're mentally exhausted. When you're overwhelmed. When your attention has drifted. When you're operating at your best. Or when today simply isn't the day to push harder.
As AI becomes embedded in every part of our lives, we believe that's the next problem worth solving.
Technology shouldn't just understand what you're asking. It should understand how you're doing.
We call this Human-State Intelligence, and the technology that makes it possible the Human-State Interface (HSI).
Today, we're introducing the first consumer product built on that vision.
Life.
Why We Built It
What if technology understood the human using it?
That question became one of the hardest—and most meaningful—journeys of my life.
For the past nine months, our team has worked 16-hour days. Late nights became normal. Weekends disappeared.
We built. Failed. Rebuilt. Argued. Learned. And kept going.
We didn't start by building an app. We started by asking what the next computing paradigm could look like.
If AI is becoming the interface to everything… shouldn't AI understand the human it's serving?
That question led us to introduce the Human-State Interface—an open standard for representing, transmitting, and understanding human state.
Then we built the infrastructure. The engines that infer Human State from behavioral and physiological signals. The protocols that securely transport it. The ABIs/APIs developers can build on. The visualization layer that makes it understandable.
And then we realized something. Infrastructure alone doesn't change the world. People need to experience it.
So we locked ourselves in once again. And we built Life.
Why Human-State AI Matters
Most of us don't actually know what state we're in. Not in a dramatic sense. In the quiet moments that shape our days.
You wake up exhausted after eight hours of sleep. You lose focus halfway through the afternoon without knowing why. You push through stress because nothing around you recognizes it. You think you're having a bad day, when your body has been telling the story for hours.
The signals are already there. Your heart. Your breathing. Your movement. Your recovery. Even the way you interact with your devices.
Your body is constantly communicating. Today's software simply isn't listening.
Your calendar schedules another meeting even when you're mentally exhausted. Your productivity app keeps pushing tasks even when your attention has collapsed. Your AI assistant gives the same response whether you're calm, overwhelmed, distracted, or deeply focused.
Technology understands the task. It rarely understands the human.
We believe the next generation of computing changes that.
Meet Life
Life is the first Human-State AI Companion.
It quietly builds an understanding of your Human State throughout the day using the signals you choose to share.
Not to score you. Not to judge you. Not to optimize every minute of your life.
But to help you understand yourself. Because understanding comes before improvement.
Instead of asking you to constantly report how you feel, Life observes the patterns that already exist.
It helps you understand your focus. Your stress. Your recovery. Your regulation. Your rhythm.
Not as isolated metrics. But as part of a living picture of how you're actually doing.
Instead of wondering why this week felt different… you can finally see why.
How It Works
Life combines multiple layers of Human-State information.
The Synheart Keyboard
The keyboard understands how you type—not what you type.
Typing rhythm. Cadence. Pauses. Corrections. Speed.
These behavioral signals often reflect changes in attention, cognitive load, fatigue, and regulation.
Your messages, passwords, emails, and personal content are never recorded. Only anonymous timing characteristics.
Connected Wearables
Life also integrates with Apple Watch, Garmin, Health Connect, BLE heart-rate monitors, and other supported devices.
Heart rate. Heart rate variability. Recovery. Movement.
These physiological signals complement behavioral patterns, helping Life build a richer understanding of your Human State.
Guided Breathing
Life also includes guided breathing sessions—not as another streak to maintain, but as moments to reset while improving physiological calibration when supported sensors are available.
Every signal is optional. Life works with the information you choose to provide and is transparent about what it can—and cannot—infer.
Understanding Yourself
Life doesn't reduce you to a single score. Humans are more complex than that.
Instead, Life helps you understand multiple dimensions of your Human State.
Focus. Stress. Recovery. Regulation. Capacity. Rhythm.
The Home screen shows where you are today. Insights helps you discover patterns across weeks. History lets you see how you've changed over time.
Maybe your best thinking consistently happens before lunch. Maybe your recovery always drops after certain workdays. Maybe your baseline has slowly shifted over the past month.
Life makes those patterns visible.
And when there isn't enough information to say something meaningful, it simply tells you: "We don't know yet."
We think honesty is more valuable than artificial certainty.
Meet Syni
Inside Life is Syni—your Human-State AI companion.
Instead of giving generic advice, Syni answers using your own patterns.
Ask:
- "Why has my focus been dropping this week?"
- "When am I usually at my best?"
- "Has my recovery changed recently?"
- "Is today a good day to push—or should I recover?"
The answers aren't based on internet averages. They're grounded in you.
Built Privacy First
Human-State data is deeply personal.
That's why privacy wasn't added later. It was the foundation.
Life works fully on-device. No account required. No internet required. No wearable required.
Cloud sync is optional and disabled by default. You decide what leaves your device.
The Synheart Keyboard never records what you type. Only anonymous timing information is processed, and it cannot be reconstructed into your original text.
Your Human State belongs to you.
Beyond Life
Life is only the beginning.
Everything behind it is powered by the Synheart Human-State Interface platform.
Our vision isn't simply to build another app. It's to help create a world where technology understands humans as naturally as it understands language.
Imagine productivity tools that recognize cognitive overload before interrupting you. Learning platforms that adapt when attention begins to drift. AI assistants that adjust how they communicate based on your current capacity. Healthcare experiences that respect readiness before delivering difficult information. Games that understand frustration without making you press a button.
Software that supports people—not just workflows.
That's what Human-State Interfaces make possible.
Build With Us
If you're a developer, researcher, or product team, the same Human-State Interface technology behind Life is available through the Synheart platform.
Whether you're building AI assistants, productivity software, healthcare experiences, educational tools, or entirely new categories of applications, you can build products that understand the human behind every interaction.

Welcome to the Next Interface
Life is our first step. Not our last.
We believe the next decade of computing won't be defined by AI that simply understands language. It will be defined by AI that understands people.
For decades, we've taught humans to adapt to technology. It's time technology learned to adapt to us.
Welcome to Life.
